Xperiment 04:30
The Xperiment! Chorus: I'm an Xperiment - Your an Xperiment! I'm wondering how in tha' hell I got into this predicament! v1. As I listen to the wise - I take knowledge with my ear and eyes, Progressin through my life with pain, suffering and srife. Like a knife, cuttin' deep inside ya' heart from the start, Torn apart, from all these battles in my life that I'm facin' Keep on pacin' while I struggle to get older than my friends, It all depends, Can I to make it to the very end. Just grin, holdin' punches bitin' tongues and lookin stunned, drawing guns - is that how the battles get won. The feining of faces different places making scars on your soul, losing control so many hearts that's too cold, Common goals dissappear from all these years with our peers, Now watch me take a swallow Cause I'm living in a bottle. Full throttle, Head first burstin' open like a pimple, real simple, I got more dents in my head deeper than my dimples. Mental dysfunction minority destruction reprocussions, Lyrical crushin' flasher rushin' Distributors just flushin' v2. Pockets busted can't be trusted tricks on the streets lookin' disgusted, Crusted dollars of blood money and heads runny. Unstabled bodies of terror makin' errors with a mind twist, Shit lists! Now tell me who's tha' muthafuckin' terrorists. Compatible hell naw! I just double up ya' premium, Temperatures rising like the sun cause I set it pass Medium. The sick and dead and billions served so take a fuckin number, And if you ain't those too many chemicals will make you wonder. Thunderous strikes nothernin lights from a hurricane, Fears plays a role into ya' soul seepin' through ya' veins. Point blank range, Implosion from corrosion destroyin' your dam anatomy, Not enough schooling trace back to the dam academy. Don't get mad at me, cause what I spit is real shit so just admit, ya' Mind I just unfold and models losing all their roles. That's cold! Protectin myself from my mind cause I'm dangerous, I spit this shit in any form in any kind of languages. V3. Reparations, frustrations across the nation and minds wasting, Tasting dirt from the earth, unbalanced chemicals rebirth. First, victims of obese tryin' to walk with an extra limb, This shit looks grim discovering a bone marrow stem. Attack of the clones, cell phones, exposed to radiation, Causualities rise it's no suprise, but did you realize. Liquidization, but we could never end racism, Hatin' one another, do I look good in this color? We all bleed the same, but our life is never euqal, Make a run to the steeple, Here's come another dam sequal. Of people, biologist, techonologist, who makes a list, Epidemics of plagues controllin' with an iron fist. I'm pissed, cause our thinking ain't on the same kind of level, With devils, who want to rule the world with just one shot! I gave all I got, but it's not enough until were dead, Look straight up in the sky here's comes a nuclear war-head.

Black Friday 03:42
Black Friday There ain't nothing just like a black friday ya'll There ain't nothing just like a black friday. V1. I'm waking up feeling good staring at my neighborhood, People come and go some fast and some slow The kids out playing in the sun and having fun, It's only 12 o'clock and the day just begun. I'm calling all my friends so we can have a block party, Old folks and young we don't need to hurt nobody. Bring ya' cards and bones and ya' bar-b-que grills, Cooking Chicken and ribs and all kinds of meals. Get the boombox out and make it go pass eight, We're going old skool whip out the 8-track tapes. Beat boxing pop locking put ya' self in a trance, Pullin' out the cardboard and we start to break-dance. Busting out with the shuffle mix it up with the hustle, Security guards here naw we don't need no muscle. lemonade stands live bands don't need to pay, Even the white folks coming celebrating the black friday. V2. Soul food home cooking with my plate of greens, Everyobody's in line they're still moving there spine. Potatoe salad, hot dogs, macaroni & cheese, Cornbread, watermelon, don't forget to say please. Now everybody's stuff while the the dj still spinning, In a food coma and were laughing and were grinning. Thinking about the times and all the days that we missed, It's like a comfort zone and we all reminisce. No gangs, no thugs, nobody's catching a slug, We're huggin' one another knuckle up and love. Feeling great with a smile as the crowds just fades, I watch the sun goes down while I'm sitting in the shade. Some people stay and help me and were cleaning up the mess, They turn around and say Hood your party was the best. So what's up for tonight? I got something in mind, I meet ya'll at the club 2 hours after nine. v3. It's down up in the club with all the cuties with apple booties, That make you wanna stutter and cal up her mother. Cause you know you been blessed with all that mess in ya' treasure chest, Now pop it and stop it right there While I'm smelling ya' hair. Makin' sweat like keith how deep is your love, Keep on backin' it up beacause the Hood is gonna shove. Just call me tiger woods I'll make a hole in one, One swing with my iron and I know you'll be admiring. cause I'm catching case now let me grab your waist, yeah move to the beat while ya' feeling my bass. I got ends now let me spin some of juice to get loose, I just want you on the floor so I can ride ya' caboose. Double dippin' thems jugs just make a niguh fall in love, You haters get back don't even try to mean mug. Slide down on my pole cause it's on cruise control, Bend over touch ya' toes like my wallet I fold.

about

Hood: The Lyrical Arsonist! Bio:

Hip-hop and jazz find themselves involved in an apocalyptic creative synergy, a mesmerizing convergence of power when Hood kicks off his creative process. Taking the groove power and lyrical assertion of hip-hop and gracing it with a sublime infusion of jazz influences, Hood has created the next step in evolution for the rap movement and possibly the music scene at large.

Relaxed and Pumped Up?

There's no doubt music is full of paradoxes and Hood brings one into sharp focus. He declares that music grants him feelings of relaxation and pumped-upness simultaneously. “Music makes me feel good and relaxed when times get rough and it gets me motivated with energy.” It's not as counterintuitive as it seems. The way music makes Hood feel is the way Hood's music makes others feel. It hits the brain, sparks the good vibes, generates relaxation – which opens the listener up to the power ready to course through the veins courtesy of the endless battery supply of music.

Forget the Glamor
The hip-hop industry has become known as a realm focused on money and glamor, a place where motivation comes from the gold. But Hood is here to change that. He's here to restore the pure focus of music. “Everyday people who I come in contact with and share stories in my life are my inspiration, giving me something to write about.” The grounding of Hood's music in real people means that his music has a real draw and it's why Hood's destiny is pointing to the pinnacle.

The Artist at Work

Hood recently completed work on the music video for “Light up the Darkness,” a project he directed with his stepbrother Delmar. It is the latest testament to the unwavering dedication and focus of an artist whose talent has the power to shift the direction of hip-hop. He also has a new album on the way entitled “Damage Kontrol.”
“If there's anyone to bring new bounce to the beats, it's Hood.”
